I could literally spend two or more days here and still not be able to do everything they have to offer! The Venetian is a unique casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It has lots of shopping, restaurants, and things to do to entertain you. I will tell you about them in this blog.

Hotel
Let’s talk about the hotel. The lobby and towers are beautifully decorated. The rooms are always suites, but these vary in price according to what amenities are in the room. This is also true for the Palazzo. I do have to say that the rooms are amazing, but it is also a little pricey. However, if you use your player’s card, you can get complimentary rooms so keep that in mind. Another thing to know is that they come with fully stocked refrigerators, and you can’t use them for your own drinks, if you remove something you are charged for it even if you put it back. Both hotels offer only suites, you have your choice of prestige suites or premier suites. They offer packages on hotel rooms, so check website for what deals are available when you plan to visit. They also offer up to 30% off rooms to veterans and government workers.
Casino
Next, the casino. That’s what a lot of people come to Las Vegas for, right? There are plenty of slot machines, over 1800 plus over 225 table games between the Venetian and the Palazzo. They also have a poker room where they hold many tournaments. Your Venetian player’s card works at both casinos. Please remember to get a player’s card at any casino you go to because you will get offers on rooms, free play and restaurants. Offers will vary by company and how much you play, but you will get offers. They help us plan our trips with hotel offers. The Venetian just changed their rewards program, you not only earn points when gambling, but also on dining, entertainment and spa treatments. By earning points you can get benefits on hotel prices, redeem points in restaurants, and get discounts on entertainment and shopping. The more you spend, the better the card tier and discount.
Dining
So, what about food? The choices are many. There are coffee and tea shops, a food court, light fare, dinner and some well-known chef’s restaurants such as Buddy Valastro, Lorena Garcia and Wolfgang Puck. You won’t lack in options but do make dinner reservations as these restaurants fill up quickly. After dinner you can choose desserts or after dinner drinks at an assortment of places. Don’t forget to check the Palazzo for dining choices also. There are plenty of bars that also serve food. One of our favorites restaurants is Chica, by Lorena Garcia. They have a great brunch here. We also had a really nice lunch at Yardbird. There are so many restaurants here, it’s hard to choose.
Relaxation
Relaxation- no matter if you stay at the Venetian or Palazzo, all the pools are open to guests. There is a total of 10 pools. Cabanas and daybeds are available. There are also 4 restaurants available in the pool areas. Not ready for the pool? How about some spa treatments? The Venetian is home to Canyon Ranch spa & fitness center. Not only does it offer over 150 services, but you can also do mind-body classes or work out in the gym which includes a 40 ft. rock wall! Again, I could spend a day just at the spa and pools.
Other Activities
Try something different, go for a gondola ride, they have a choice of indoor or outdoor. The indoor gives you a good view of a lot of the Grand Canal Shoppes and the outside is on Las Vegas Boulevard. It is a bit pricey, but it’s fun to do once. It’s not the same as a gondola ride in Venice, but it is a unique experience especially if you don’t think you’ll ever get to Venice. There is Madame Tussauds Museum, the Minus 5-degree ice experience (this is available to under 21 in the afternoon) or an escape room. And yes, there is lots and lots of places to shop from a Welcome to Las Vegas gift shop, to Sketchers to Tommy Bahama and Jimmy Choo. The Grand Canal Shoppes continue to the Palazzo, so be prepared to do some walking.
Entertainment
There is plenty of entertainment to choose too!! The Venetian Theatre has a variety of shows and there is the new Sphere, which is pretty amazing, at least with the outdoor light shows. This is a brand-new venue, so I haven’t been here yet, but it looks like the show they have there is very interesting. Besides the experience of the Sphere show, there are also concerts here. There are concerts and entertainment shows in other venues and bars at both resorts.
Conclusion
I always enjoy going to The Venetian and if you’ve never been there, I hope you will check it out the next time you come to Las Vegas. There is so much to do and I’m sure you will find something to enjoy here. We hope to inspire people to go explore and find your happy place.
