The Promenade has a little bit of everything plus it’s a nice place to take a stroll while visiting Las Vegas. It is located off of the Las Vegas Strip between the Flamingo and the Linq. It has places to eat, places to shop, entertainment, the High Roller and Fly Linq zipline! It’s about a half mile round trip which makes for a nice stroll along a brick street with plenty to explore. Let’s see what all there is to do here.

Dining

We’ll start off with coffee and breakfast. Starbucks is the place to go for coffee, but if you’re looking for some hot chocolate check out Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate shop. Of course, you can always start your day with ice cream if you want! If you’re looking for a pastry for breakfast, check out Sweet Sin which has donuts, crepes and Croissants along with iced coffees and shakes. You might want to come back here later for gelato or macarons, which are both really good by the way. If you’re looking for a more substantial breakfast our favorite place is Chayo Mexican Kitchen. They have great breakfast selections at reasonable prices. They also serve lunch and dinner here and have a Tequlia bar. Another place that serves meals all day is Tilted Kilt. Their menu leans more to pub fare, but there are some interesting choices. We’ve never eaten here, so I can’t speak to how it rates for me. Favorite Bistro serves French inspired meals all day. They seem a little pricey to me, but you can decide. Virgil’s Real BBQ also serves breakfast, but personally I’d rather go there for lunch or dinner and get BBQ.

Moving on to quick bites. One of the most popular places on the Promenade is In-n-Out Burger. If you’re in the mood for fish check out Ramsey Fish & Chips. I had the chicken here and it had a little too much batter for me, but Greg really enjoyed the fish. Just beware there is very little seating here. Haute Doggery has some really unique hot dog topping choices. We went here a few times for a quick lunch. Interesting toppings but we enjoyed ours. Flour & Barley has an outside shop where you can get pizza slices, but they also have indoor dining with Italian inspired meals. We’ve grabbed a slice here many times and I have to say they are big slices for a great price!

If you’re looking for a sit-down meal for lunch or dinner, there are a few more choices besides the ones already mentioned. Off the Strip Bistro & Bar has classic bistro food and is two stories with three bars and indoor or outdoor seating. We really liked the food here. JABurritos is a sushi burrito restaurant for something a little different. Sushi is not my thing, so you’re on your own for this one. If you like diners, Maxie’s Diner offers elevated classic diner food. We haven’t made it here yet, but it’s on my list to try! Last on our list is Yard House. It is known for its many varieties of beer and their menu is described as New American cuisine infused with California roots. This also is a restaurant we haven’t tried yet.

Hotels/Casinos

The two hotel/casinos along the promenade are The Linq and Flamingo. Both are Caesar properties. They each have their own unique amenities and room types. The Linq is geared a little more towards a younger crowd, while the Flamingo seem to attract people of all ages. The Flamingo is little less expensive than some of the other hotels on the strip, so it is a popular choice. Not to mention the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. A must see by the way! Click here to read our blog about the Linq. For more about the Flamingo click for our blog here. If interested in staying at either of these hotels, click their banner for booking.

Shopping

There’s a unique mix of stores along the Promenade that to me are geared towards tourists like the Sky Shop Souvenirs but also some you would see in malls, like Nectar Bath Treats. There is a Harley Davidson store pretty self-explanatory. Havaianas which sells flip flops, Pier 30 which carries swimwear, surf and skate clothing, Razer which has all things for gamers, Socks and Bottoms which has some whimsical socks, The Hat Loft with many different types of hats. If you’re looking for something sweet, Honolulu Cookie Company may be just for you. I have to say, I do like their cookies and have definitely spent some money here. There is also I Love Sugar which has all sorts of candy. We’ll talk about them more in the next section. Don’t forget Ghirardelli’s and Sweet Sin for more treats.

Two more things that are on the Promenade that don’t fit any category are Club Tattoo, where you guessed it, you can get a tattoo. Regenerate Me offers IV drip hydration therapy.

Nightlife

If want to start your night off with some libations, you might want to consider Breeze Daiquiri, which is serves daiquiris in various sizes and flavors. They don’t have a place to sit however. For something different, try the Ice Bar where you need a coat to sit and enjoy your drink! I Love Sugar is great for candy downstairs, but upstairs is 21+ and it serves candy inspired drinks, such gummy bear martinis. If you enjoy bowling and beer, Brooklyn Bowl is the place for you! There is also a stage with live bands and food available. Most of the restaurants also have bars in them. Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club offers some great entertainment when you feel like a few laughs.

Attractions

The Promenade is best known for the High Roller Observation Wheel which looks like a Ferris wheel but with enclosed cabins that serve alcohol. It soars 550 feet above the Las Vegas strip with 360-degree views. It takes 30 minutes to complete one revolution. Ticket prices vary but start at $29. If you’re looking for a little thrill, Fly Linq Zipline will give you one. You are launched from a 12-story tower and soar 1,121 feet the entire length of the Promenade. Tickets start at $49 and there are quite a few restrictions so make sure to check out the website. Another thing that may appeal to you is the Museum of Selfies where you can take selfies with the many backgrounds they offer. This is a bit pricey, $30 for adults and $ 25 for children 3-12.

Conclusion

As you can see, the Promenade offers many choices for dining, shopping, and entertainment. I have always enjoyed just taking a walk through there, it reminds me of walking down main street in a small town. For me the shopping isn’t something that interests me much, but I do love the sweets. And of course, I have to go to the souvenir shop just because I love looking at it, even if I don’t buy anything. We have enjoyed quite a few meals here and find it convenient when we stay near there. Even if you’re not staying at one of the casinos nearby, I still recommend you walk through at least once. If nothing else, it’s a nice break from gambling. And don’t forget your camera to capture your memories! If you’re not sure where you want to stay on the Las Vegas Strip, I hope this gives you a little more information about this section of town to help you decide. We always hope to inform people on places we’ve been when they are researching their vacation. We also hope to inspire people to find their own adventure, even if it’s close to home and have fun!
