The Linq is a pretty unique hotel and casino on the Las Vegas strip not only because of the shape of the building but also because it has the Linq Promenade. I’m going to do a separate blog about the Promenade because it has so much to offer but having it right outside the door of the Linq is a definite bonus for the Linq. It is also right in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, which for me makes it such a great location. You can get to a lot of the strip without having to go very far. Let’s get into all the great things about the Linq.

Hotel

There are many different types of rooms here, but there are limited number of rooms for a specific type. Be sure if you see a room that interests you, book early so you can get that room. The Deluxe rooms come in double bed, single queen, double queen and single king. These are their basic rooms and amenities are room safe, hair dryer and iron. Another basic room is the Classic which is a queen size bed with safe and iron. The King Jr. Suite has a separate living room, wet bar, mini fridge, 2 TVs, double sinks, coffee maker, safe and iron. The King Suite is a little larger than the Jr. with couch and table. Same amenities but no mini fridge. The Deluxe Poolside rooms have king beds with a small patio by the pool. These have basic amenities. The District 3 rooms are located close to the self-parking garage and within easy walking distance to Caesar Forum shops. These come with different room types and bed sizes. Most have mini fridges along with hair dryer, safe and irons. The Penthouse has a king bed, kitchenette, fridge, microwave, and 4-person dining table and bar. It comes with hair dryer, coffee maker, safe and iron. As you can see there are many options here. If you decide this is where you want to stay, I would go on the website to see what rooms are available for the dates you need and check each of them to see what best suits your needs.

Casino

The casino floor is not very large here and spread out quite a bit. There are little sections of machines as you walk around the property. Having said that, they do have a good selection of slot machines. There are over 675 slot machines, 35 table games and a sportsbook area. The restaurants and bars are spread out around the casino and some lead out to the Promenade. Overall, it’s not a bad casino, but probably not one you would spend most of your time in.

Dining

Let’s start out with breakfast and coffee. There is a Dunkin’ Donuts inside the Linq and a Starbucks on the Promenade. If you’re looking for a more substantial breakfast, Hash House A Go- Go is always a great choice. Some days this gets really busy, so it might be wise to make a reservation. They are open for lunch and dinner also, but breakfast is what they do best. We got lucky the day we went and only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Next time we’ll make a reservation. Our favorite place to get breakfast is Chayo Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar. They are also open for lunch and dinner. Once in a while, we just want a good Mexican cuisine breakfast, and this restaurant hits the spot for us. You can get to this from inside the Linq, but it is on the Promenade right across from the doors to the Flamingo. A good choice for lunch or light dinner, try Buddy’s Jersey Eats food truck. Another choice is Nook express, which has pastries, pizza, salads and sandwiches. When it comes time for dinner you might want some great Italian and head to The Boss Cafe by Buddy Valastro. Our favorite is Guy Fieri’s Vagas Kitchen & Bar. The wings here are really, really good. Before we moved here, we would usually go here at least twice on our vacation. There are many more choices on the Promenade if you’re looking for something different.

Amenities

If you’re looking to relax and be pampered, then the spa may be what you’re looking for. There is also a 24-hour fitness center. A big attraction for the younger crowd here is Influence, the pool at the Linq. You must be 21 or over to enjoy the pool. It is known as one of the best party pools in Las Vegas. There are life-sized game and beer pong. You can also get food and drinks here. You can rent cabanas and daybeds for a half or full day. Because of the pool here, I always get a younger vibe when we’re at this casino. This seems to be one of favorite places for the younger generation.

Nightlife

If you’re looking for a show, you might want to go see Mat Franco’s magic show. If you feel like dancing, try the Disco show. If you’re looking for a place to have a drink and little fun, try O’Sheas Pub, where you can play beer pong or table games. If you want to sit, relax and enjoy a nightcap your choices are Catalyst Las Vegas Cocktail Bar, 3535 Cocktail Bar, American Beer & Cocktails or Rematch which has both indoor and outdoor tables on the Strip. There are more places on the Promenade so you can go somewhere different every night.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are plenty of great things about the Linq, from the hotel to casino to amenities. For me the two biggest advantages for staying here is the location on the Las Vegas strip and the Promenade. The most important thing is for you to decide what is important to you then choose one of the great casinos in Las Vegas. As I said previously, this hotel is definitely geared toward fun and partying, so if you are looking for a family hotel, I would not choose this one. If you just want a convenient hotel with a decent hotel room, then maybe it’s for you. We try to give as much information and our impressions to help you decide what is best for you. And if you’re not coming to Las Vegas, we hope you’ll find your adventure in a place that makes you happy. Close to home or further away, there’s always something fun to explore, so go have fun!!
