A Glimpse into History
The Golden Nugget’s story began in 1946, making it one of the oldest casinos in Las Vegas. It quickly became a symbol of downtown glitz and glamour, attracting high rollers and celebrities alike. While ownership has changed hands over the years, the Golden Nugget has maintained its commitment to providing a classic Vegas experience. The casino’s rich history is palpable, with vintage photographs and memorabilia adorning the walls, offering a nostalgic journey for visitors.

Accommodation: Comfort and Style
The Golden Nugget offers a range of accommodation options, from standard rooms to luxurious suites. All rooms are well-appointed and offer modern amenities. The Rush Tower and Gold Tower offer stunning views of the Las Vegas skyline.
Spa Tower is an all-suites tower featuring the most luxurious suites, most of which are two-story with large entertainment and living areas.
Rush Tower is the most recently built tower and a popular choice. Rush Tower provides luxury rooms and suites with redefined spacious layouts, contemporary furnishings and designer finishes.
Gold Tower is the most centrally located tower providing guests immediate access to the casino floor and hotel amenities. This tower is a favorite with guests.
Carson Tower offers affordable luxury with rooms that have a residential feel. There are no suites in the Carson Tower.

Gaming at the Golden Nugget
The casino floor at the Golden Nugget is a vibrant and exciting space, offering a wide variety of games to suit every player.
Table Games: Blackjack, craps, roulette, and other popular table games are readily available.
Slot Machines: A vast selection of slot machines, ranging from classic reels to modern video slots. There are approximately 1,000 slot machines here. I can always find my favorite slot machines here and Greg likes the older games they have here.
Poker Room: A dedicated poker room hosts daily tournaments and cash games. The Golden Nugget Poker Room maintains the Casino’s Golden Rush theme. It has 13-smoke free tables all year long and up to 20 tables of cash games for special events, and up to 60 Tournament tables during the Grand Poker Series Events.
Race & Sports Book: A state-of-the-art race and sports book for placing bets on your favorite teams and events.
Dining Delights: A Culinary Journey
The Golden Nugget boasts a diverse culinary scene, catering to a wide range of tastes and budgets.
Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse: A classic steakhouse offering prime cuts of USDA prime grain-fed beef, plentiful seafood selections and an extensive wine list.
Chart House: Known for its fresh seafood and a view of the 75,000 gallon tropical fish aquarium. You can even download a guide of the fish in the aquarium. Expect seafood with a twist and exceptional service at Chart House.
Grotto Ristorante: Serving authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
CJ (formerly Claim Jumper): A casual dining option with a wide variety of American dishes. This is a local favorite and famously known for its decadent six-layer Chocolate Motherlode Cake. Food Network ranks it as one of America’s “Top 5 Most Decadent Desserts”. We’ve dined here many times often with friends.
Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar: Offers a vibrant atmosphere and delicious Mexican fare. We really enjoyed our meal here. The food was yummy, the margaritas were delicious and the many bottles of tequila decorating the restaurant was just the right atmosphere.
Quick Bites
For a quick bite try The Grille or Chick-fil-A. Grab a coffee at Starbucks.

The Golden Nugget Experience: More Than Just Gambling
While the casino floor is undoubtedly a major draw, the Golden Nugget offers a diverse range of attractions and activities.
The Hand of Faith: The world’s largest gold nugget on public display, the “Hand of Faith,” is must-see. Weighing in at over 61 pounds, this natural wonder is a testament to the allure of gold and a popular photo opportunity. I was in awe at the size of this when I saw it. But so cool.
The Tank: This award-winning pool complex features a 200,000-gallon shark tank, complete with a waterslide that plunges you right through the middle of it! It’s an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. I so want to slide down through the sharks! Someday I will do this!
Spa and Fitness Center: For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the Golden Nugget offers a full-service spa and fitness center.
Shopping: A variety of shops offer everything from souvenirs to high-end fashion.
