I have noticed that this is the number one question people ask about Las Vegas and my answer is that there is not a one casino fits all. People rate casinos on a variety of factors. Obviously, one is the type and number of games a casino has. How many slot machines, do they have table games, craps and/or a poker room. But there are many other things people look for to enjoy their casino experience. Some people want their rooms to be really luxurious, others want a lot of restaurant options, or can you do a lot of shopping here? People may be interested in the shows and other entertainment available at a casino. Others are looking to relax so the spa experience they can get is most important. The list goes on. So, I’ve put together a small list of what seem to be the most popular for a variety of reasons.

Wynn and Encore Casino Resort

When people think of the Wynn, they may think upscale, price, etc. and it is a really luxurious place, but it really isn’t any more expensive than some of the other casinos on the strip. Combined these two casinos have 1800+ slot machines, table games and a poker room. If you’re looking for luxury, Wynn definitely is the place for this. You can find pretty much anything you are looking for here. There is a golf course, two pools, two spas, hair salon and barber shop, plenty of shopping, lots of restaurant choices, entertainment and quite a few night life activities. And of course, the beautiful flower displays including the horse carousel. Even though it isn’t right in the middle of the strip, it still is worth at least visiting. Wynn’s player’s club also offers slot free play and discounts on rooms and dining. We have never stayed here, but I do really enjoy coming to see the flower display and Carousel when they change it. We also regularly get free play here, so that is a definite bonus. I enjoy going to Wynn when we are on the strip.

The Venetian Resort

The Venetian/ Palazzo Resort is also a highly recommended casino. Honestly, it is one of my favorites. Not only are the rooms luxurious, but there is so much do here besides gamble. But if gambling is something that is important to you, there are over 1800 slot machines, table games and a poker room that holds many tournaments throughout the year. Canyon Ranch Spa is also a big draw to the Venetian. But hold on, that’s not all there is to the Venetian. There are the canal shops that have not only stores, but restaurants. You can ride the gondolas or go to an escape room. There are two pools to relax by and lots of restaurant choices. Besides the bars and lounges for your nightlife fun, you can go to the Sphere. This is another great choice if you want to stay on the Strip. Make sure to get your player’s card so you can enjoy some of the benefits it will bring such as discounts on rooms and dining. We have stayed here and the room was great! They only have suites, so they all have a lot of space. The only thing I didn’t like was the mini bar instead of a mini fridge. We like to bring our own tea and Coke, but you can’t use this mini bar because they charge you if something is moved. This seems to be the case in a lot of hotels in Las Vegas, so be aware. Other than that, I really like the Venetian and recommend you at least stop by and spend some time here.

Caesar’s Palace

Caesar’s Palace is a hallmark of Las Vegas. You can’t miss it in the center of the Strip with the big statue of Caesar in front. This casino also is known for the many amenities they have to offer. There is over 1300 slot machines and 600+ table games. The next thing Caesar’s is probably best known for is the shopping. You can spend hours walking through the shopping area at Caesar’s. But there is also a spa, great pool area and plenty of restaurants to help you pass your time. Nightlife is alive and well at Caesar’s with a cigar bar, Vanderpump cocktail garden, and Omnia nightclub to name a few places to go. Even if you’re not looking to gamble or stay the night here, Caesar’s is a must see for tourists. If you are interested in staying here, make sure you get your Caesar’s player’s card to get discounts on not only rooms, but dining, shopping and entertainment. We have never spent the night here, but we do love gambling here and I enjoy walking through the Forum shops once in a while.

Bellagio

This is a definite must see if you are looking to do the tourist thing. It is also a great place to go again and again if for no other reason than to see the Botanical Gardens display each season. Even if you don’t go into the casino, make sure you check out the fountain shows on Las Vegas Boulevard, they are a must see. There is also a great assortment of slot machines here for those who like to gamble. There are over 2300 slot machines, table games and a poker room which also holds tournaments. There is a spa and salon, a pool, shopping and lots of restaurants. Don’t forget the shows, if you’re interested in that. If you’re looking for luxury, the rooms should more than meet your expectations. Make sure to get your MGM player’s card and build up points so that you get offers not only on rooms, but on food and shopping. We have never spent the night here, but I love coming here not only to gamble because they have a great assortment of machines, but to see the flower display every season.

Red Rock Casino Resort

If you’re looking for somewhere that has a lot of the same amenities as casinos on the strip, but prefer not to be on the strip, then Red Rock is for you. With over 2700 slots machines, keno and a poker room your gambling desires should be met. There is also plenty do here besides gambling, especially if your kids are with you. There is bowling, a movie theater, swimming pool, cyber and kid’s quests. The only thing they don’t have is a spa. There is plenty of restaurant choices. If you want to wander out of the casino, you are minutes from Downtown Summerlin, where there are many shopping choices, restaurants and events going on. The Las Vegas Ballpark is here along with City National Arena, the practice facility for the Golden Knights. And let’s not forget the reason for the name of this casino: Red Rock Canyon. This is another thing you should do at least once. If you’re not a hiker, don’t fret, there is a road that loops through the canyon, with parking areas along the way to get better glimpses of the canyon. This too is one of our favorite casinos. All Stations casinos offer room packages, so be sure to check on any specials they have on the days you’ll be in Las Vegas. We’ve never stayed here overnight, but have stayed at other Stations properties and have never been disappointed.

Conclusion

These are just a few of the casinos in Las Vegas and all of them have their own amenities, entertainment, and gaming choices.
