A Touch of Elvis and a Whole Lot of Charm

Originally opened in 1969 as the International Hotel, Westgate made its name when the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, performed a record-breaking residency here. That legacy still lives on today through Elvis’s memorabilia scattered throughout the hotel, a statue in the lobby, and even themed decor at the onsite Edge Steakhouse.

We worry so you don't have to.

Adding even more personality to the property is Sir Winston of Westgate, the resort’s adorable Westie mascot and official Canine Ambassador. He’s got royal vibes and a daily strut that makes guest appearances feel like VIP meet-and-greets.

Their Wine Spectator Award-winning wine list will blow you away. Be sure to check out the wall of wine that separates Edge and Fresco Italiano. The Edge also has the Elvis room where there is a collection of Elvis’ guns. This room is part of the steakhouse’s history where they served Elvis during his residency. We had a party of 8 and were put in the room with the wine wall and it was a really special experience. From the sommelier to the amazing bread and wonderful steak it was a great night. You should definitely try it!

Fresco Italiano– You can never go wrong with the delicious selection of Italian cuisine favorites on the menu at Fresco Italiano. Made from fresh locally sourced ingredients, whatever you choose will satisfy your appetite. The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming with friendly staff that makes you feel like family. We really enjoyed our meal here. Everything we tried was a little elevated, even the Caesar Salad dressing was a little different and delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Benihana – How can you go wrong? At world-famous Benihana, enjoy delicious Japanese menu options prepared exhibition-style by master chefs on Teppan grills. Not only is it fun to watch the chefs, but the food is delicous! It’s also a fun experience to share a meal with people you don’t know and learn about them while you watch your meal being prepared.

Benihana provides an authentic cultural adventure amid lush Japanese gardens and flowing water features. Starting at the beginning of restaurant row is Zen which is all part of Benihana Village where you will also find two other restaurants:

Rikki Tiki Sushi – If you’re looking for a truly authentic sushi experience, you’ll love this peaceful setting surrounded by lush gardens and the hypnotic sounds of water cascading in the Koi Pond with a great selection of sushi.

Silk Road Asian Bistro features an eclectic menu that creatively blends three different genres of Asian-style cooking – Japanese Ramen Noodle, Chinese Rice Noodle and Vietnamese Pho. If you love Asian food, this is the place for you.

Sid’s – This is the all-around restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. You’ll find home style favorites that are a bit elevated for an exquisite dining experience. Servings are generous, so be prepared. My two scrambled eggs seemed more like three. We had a delightful brunch here.
