Laughlin may not be Las Vegas, but if you love to gamble as much as we do any casino is worth visiting. And the casinos in Laughlin are no exception. If you have player’s cards with Caesar’s or Golden Nugget you may even get a free room. Like everywhere there is a resort fee, but some are only $12.99. There are a total of 8 hotels that have casinos in them. Besides gambling there are many other things to do in Laughlin from water activities to a short drive to Oatman to see the burros. But let’s talk casinos.

Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino
Don Laughlin was the founder of Laughlin who built this casino when there wasn’t much in the town. Now the casino has become a true resort with a hotel that has the expected room amenities along with a mini fridge. If you want to do something besides gamble, there are two pools- one is adult only, salon and day spa, a fitness center and business center. If you want, you can see a movie at the theater or do some bowling at their bowling alley. There is also Don’s Celebrity Theatre that offers a variety of shows. There is also an arcade that has virtual reality games and a gift shop. If you like classic cars, be sure to visit Don Laughlin’s Classic Car Museum which is located right on the property. If you’re traveling in your RV, you’re in luck there is RV parking here. There are two buildings with slot machines and restaurants. Casino West is across the street from the main building and has over 180 slot machines, two restaurants Krispy Krunchy Chicken and Casa Serrano. The main casino has 1200+ slots, table games a poker room and bingo. There are 5 restaurants plus a food court in each tower of hotel. This resort has plenty to do if you’re planning on spending a few days in Laughlin. We haven’t stayed here yet, but I hope to the next time we go to Laughlin. I’ll let you know if we do. The casino was clean, the staff was friendly, and it seemed to have a lot of great restaurants, so I recommend that you at least stop by.
Aquarius Casino Resort
This is casino is part of the Golden Entertainment group of casinos. The players card you will need here is a True Rewards card. The hotel rooms have normal amenities in room. There is a pool and fitness center. When you get hungry your choices are River Rock Pizza & Pasta or Cafe Aquarius. They have over 1200 slot machines here along with table games. You can see some great river views from this property and get to the riverwalk from here. It’s not the fanciest of the casinos in Laughlin, but it does have a nice atmosphere and good selection of slot machines.
Edgewater Hotel & Casino Resort
This casino is also part of the Golden Entertainment group, and your True Rewards players card will get you benefits for any of their casinos. The usual hotel amenities are available here along with a pool, fitness center and arcade. For entertainment, check out L.A. Comedy Club or concerts at the Edge Pavillion. Access to the river walk is easy from here. There are plenty of choices to satisfy your hunger, PT’s Express, Denny’s, Capriotti’s and Stockman’s Steakhouse. There is also a Pink Box Donut shop here. There are 755 slot machines and 20 table games on the casino floor. Both of these True Rewards casinos are worth checking out.
Golden Nugget Laughlin Hotel and Casino
This offers a lot of the same restaurants that Golden Nugget Las Vegas offers. There is a Claim Jumer Restaurant along with Saltgrass Steakhouse. There is also a Bubba Gump’s restaurant here. The hotel offers the usual in room amenities, along with a mini fridge. There is a pool for you to relax and a gift shop to enjoy. You can also easily get to the riverwalk from the hotel. The casino floor has over 700 slot machines and table games. The ambience here is very soothing and has a nice little pond in the lobby. Definitely one of the casinos to check out when in Laughlin.
Harrah’s Laughlin
This is one of two Caesar owned casinos in Laughlin. Harrah’s is not on the main street where the other casinos are located. It is on top of the hill, but it does have a private beach on the Colorado River where you can rent gazebos and lounge chairs. If you don’t want to swim in the river, there are two pools at the hotel. The rooms at the hotel do come with mini fridges along with the other normal amenities. When you need a coffee or snack there is a Starbucks or Cinnabon. When you start to get hungry there is a choice of Smash Burger, Pin Up Pizza, the Beach Cafe, El Burro Borracho or the Range Steakhouse. The casino has over 750 slot machines and 22 table games. Even though they do offer a bus for transportation to & from the Tropicana and the heart of Laughlin casinos, being so far up the hill is a disadvantage for staying at Harrah’s. To be honest we were a little disappointed when we went here. Some of the restaurants weren’t open, the elevator in the parking garage wasn’t in the best shape and it just didn’t seem to have the Caesar’s ambience that you find in other Caesar’s casinos around the country. Having said that, the casino area was clean, and people were friendly. If you don’t mind being a little way from the other casinos, then this might be the place for you. Tropicana Laughlin
The second of the Caesar’s casinos, the Tropicana is a little older than some of the casinos in Laughlin, but still is a great place to stay. This is where we stayed and really enjoyed the location’s convenience to the other casinos. The rooms offer the usual amenities, and you can request a mini fridge for the room. For your food needs there is The Brew Brothers, Carnegie’s Cafe, Passaggio (pizza) and the poolside cafe which offers bagels, pastries, coffee with a variety of options (cold brew, frappes, etc.), & sandwiches. Nathan hot dogs, Thrifty Ice Cream and a Port of Subs are also in this area by the pool. When you’re ready to relax, try a dip in the pool. There is also an arcade when you don’t want to play in the casino. The casino offers over 600 slot machines and 8 table games. If you don’t mind basic rooms and not lots of glitz, then I recommend this hotel. For room information, click on link below.
New Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall
You can’t miss the New Pioneer with the big neon cowboy, River Rick, in the parking lot. The newly renovated hotel offers all the amenities of other hotels along with a mini fridge. There is a pool and jacuzzi when you want to relax along with a private beach area on the Colorado River. The riverwalk is also easily accessible. You can find some great souvenirs at the Pioneer Country Store and enjoy some tasty homestyle cooking at Blueberry Flats restaurant. The casino has over 400 slot machines, 7 table games and 3 poker tables. Just for the history, this is a casino worth checking out.
Laughlin River Lodge
This is the only hotel in Laughlin that offers family suites that offers two bedrooms, living room and kitchenette. The standard rooms offer hair dryer, free Wi-Fi and a snack basket. The deluxe rooms offer the same as standard along with microwave, fridge, coffee maker and ironing board. Master suites offer master bedroom, living room and Kitchenette. For entertainment there is an arcade, Gamers PC alley, bowling area with scrabble, shuffleboard, pool tables and snack bar. You can also go to the private beach on the Colorado river or enjoy their pool. For those of you who like to shop there is a general store there. When you get hungry, try the Bighorn Cafe or check the menus at the 5 casinos. Yes, there are 5 separate casinos here. There is Dotty’s, La Villita, Red Dragon, Bourbon Street Sports Bar and casino, and Points! casino. These all have their own menus so you can eat while you play! The only drawback to this resort is the location. It’s not as far up the hill as Harrah’s but it’s not one you would want to walk to from the main area of town. This hotel and casino is owned by Richard Craig Estey (Nevada Restaurant Services) who also owns the Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino in Boulder City, NV. We haven’t stayed here, so I can’t speak to the rooms, but the casinos were clean and everyone was friendly here.
Conclusion
Although there are only 8 casinos in Laughlin, there are so many other things to do here that you should be able to find something to make your stay enjoyable. You won’t find all the glamour you would in Las Vegas, but you don’t have to be in Las Vegas to have fun if you love to gamble like us. One thing I didn’t mention is most of the casinos also offer Race and Sportsbooks.
