 Prime Strip Location

If location is everything, Planet Hollywood is in the winner’s circle. Smack in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, it’s connected directly to the Miracle Mile Shops, giving you access to over a mile of restaurants, bars, stores, and entertainment, without ever leaving the air conditioning. Walk outside, and you’re steps away from iconic neighbors like Bellagio, Paris, and Cosmopolitan.

*Our Take: We haven’t stayed here ourselves, but its location is one of the best for exploring the Strip on foot.

Stylish Accommodations

With over 2,400 rooms, including Strip-view suites and Hollywood-themed décor, Planet Hollywood’s rooms have gotten a facelift in recent years. Expect sleek, modern furnishings, splashy pops of color, and movie memorabilia on the walls. Suites offer extra perks like soaking tubs, separate living areas, and better views.

Gaming at Planet Hollywood: Big Variety, Lively Vibe

The 64,000-square-foot casino floor is energetic and packed with options. You’ll find:

– 875+ slot machines, including both classics and the latest releases. We tend to do pretty well here. I like the machine variety and the buzz on the floor.

-67 table games like blackjack, roulette, and craps

– A 20-table poker room with live cash games and tournaments

– Caesars Sportsbook, where you can bet on sports or races with ease at 10 kiosks

Dining Guide

Planet Hollywood offers a diverse range of dining options to suit every taste and budget. From casual eateries to upscale restaurants, guests can find everything from quick bites to gourmet meals.

Quick & Casual

Pin-Up Pizza: They claim to have the largest slices on the Strip. These New York-style hand-tossed pizzas are made with authentic Italian ingredients.

Earl of Sandwich: Famous for their hot sandwiches. Think sandwich perfection with warm, fluffy artisan bread piled high with delicious premium toppings. Yummy. We enjoy their sandwiches when we want a quick lunch.

Starbucks: Because caffeine is always a good idea.

Sit Down Favorites

Gordon Ramsay Burger: Chef Ramsay ups the burger game with the beef patties that are cooked over an open flame fueled by hardwood and fresh ingredients. We always enjoy the burgers here; my favorites are the Hell’s Kitchen and Blue Cheeseburger.

Café Hollywood: Celebrate all things Planet Hollywood in a restaurant that blends retro chic with modern design. Enjoy all day breakfast or a late dinner. Greg loves breakfast, so this is always a favorite for him.

Yolo’s Mexican Grill: You’ll find Mexican favorites with Pacific Rim, South American and Caribbean influences. Choose from 60 different tequilas or sip on a fresh fruit margarita while you wait for your dinner to be prepared. I’m very biased because I love Mexican cuisine, but as far as Mexican restaurants go, it’s a good choice for us.

P.F. Changs: Experience fresh, contemporary, and inventive Chinese cuisine for dinner. We always enjoy having a meal here. It’s a beautiful restaurant and we’ve never had a bad meal here.

Upscale Picks

Caramella Italian Restaurant & Lounge: They specialize in regional Italian favorites, indulgent pastas and a selection of meats served Tuscan-style. Be sure to check out the candy shop stacked with Italian treats and then step through the secret door to a moody hidden lounge with 70’s wallpaper and centered around a mirror mosaic DJ booth.

Strip House: This vintage Hollywood themed restaurant features prime cuts of beef, seafood specials and an extensive wine list.

Pool, Spa, & Relaxation

Rooftop Pools

Head to The Scene Pool Deck, where there’s a family pool and a 21+ pool. Rent a cabana, chill in a daybed, or try the FlowRider wave machine to test your surfing skills.

Reflections Spa & Salon

Need a break from the action? Relax with massages, facials, or a soak in the whirlpool. The spa has everything you need to reset and recharge.

Fitness Center

Fully equipped with cardio and weights, if you’re the type who packs sneakers for Vegas.

Miracle Mile Shopping

Planet Hollywood is directly connected to the Miracle Mile Shops, where you’ll find a mix of high-street fashion, souvenir stands, and quirky stores. There’s also the V Theater and AXIS Theater for comedy shows and variety acts.

 Entertainment at Planet Hollywood

Zappos Theater

This state-of-the-art venue has hosted top-tier residencies like Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, and Shania Twain. Check the current lineup when planning your trip.

More Entertainment

From Criss Angel’s MINDFREAK to Chippendales, the resort always has something going on, concerts, DJs, comedians, you name it.

*Our Take: Always check show schedules in advance, some performances sell out quickly!

The Hollywood Theme—Is It Still Cool?

Planet Hollywood’s movie-themed decor is a throwback to its heyday, and while it’s not as high-tech or immersive as newer resorts, there’s still a nostalgic charm. Movie props and memorabilia decorate the public spaces, giving fans fun photo ops and a dose of retro flair.

Who Planet Hollywood Is Great For

First-time Vegas visitors – You’re right in the middle of everything

Budget-conscious travelers – Good rates for such a central location

Younger crowds – Lively, energetic, and always something going on

Foodies – Great casual and gourmet dining choices

Movie lovers – Fun theming and pop-culture vibes

Things to Consider

The theme might feel a bit dated – Don’t expect anything futuristic

It gets crowded – Especially on weekends and during events

Resort fees – Be sure to budget for the daily resort charge

Final Verdict

Planet Hollywood Las Vegas may not be the newest kid on the block, but it’s still holding its own. With a prime Strip location, solid dining options, an active casino, and big-name entertainment, it offers great bang for your buck, especially if you like being in the middle of the action. Is it the flashiest resort in Vegas? No. But is it fun, energetic, and easy to enjoy? Absolutely.

Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel that blends affordability, entertainment, and a touch of Hollywood flair, Planet Hollywood is still shining.
